The Rivers Heritage Site and Orchard Adults Art Competition 2025 is open to everyone who is over the age of 18 and welcome submissions from all, those who simply enjoy creating or professionals.
Drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, digital art, craft and textile works will all be considered.
- Artists can submit up to 2 works for selection by our judge via email.
- A limited number of works will be selected to show at the exhibition and prize-giving.
- All emailed submissions will be shown digitally.
Please do not include themes, imagery, or content that could be deemed offensive, discriminatory, or inappropriate for a diverse and inclusive community setting.
All works will be judged blind. The judge will make the final decision, and no feedback can be given.
There are no fees.
Size Limits of your work:
- 2D – Approx A3 (29.7x42 cm)
- 3D – Approx (length x width x height) 30x30x30 cm
Please note that work is submitted at the owner’s risk. RHSO takes no responsibility for loss or damage.
Orchard Visit Open Afternoon: Saturday, 10 May, 2025 from 2-3.30 for a walk around the orchard. Book a slot via Eventbrite. You do not need to attend the Orchard visit in order to enter the competition.
How to submit your work: Photographs of your work should be emailed to Rivers300AdultsArtCompetition@outlook.com between 1-15 June, 2025.
Please ensure your work is photographed in focus, cropped, is NOT behind glass and taken in good light. By submitting you agree that your work will be shown digitally at the exhibition.
The limited number of people whose work has been selected for exhibition will be contacted by email by 25 June and asked to deliver their work to an address in Sawbridgeworth on 3, 4 or 7 July, 2025.
Exhibition and Prizegiving: to be held on Thursday, 10 July, 2025 from 6.15 to 7.30pm at the Sawbridgeworth Town Council Chamber, Sayesbury Manor Cottage, Bell Street, Sawbridgeworth. CM21 9AN. Book a slot via Eventbrite.
The Exhibition will open to the public for two days only on Tuesday, 15 July and Wednesday, 16 July from 9.30am to 3.30pm.
Collection of exhibited works: Thursday, 17 July from 11am - 4pm Collection from the Sawbridgeworth Town Council building.
